John had the dubious pleasure of seeing The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor this weekend, and you’d better believe he has some opinions to share about it. His review (with spoilers) follows, after the jump.
Way back when the XBox 360 first launched, I remember my inaugural dip into the XBox Live Arcade including the download of the Geometry Wars demo. GW was a psychadelic flurry of crazy, reflex-demanding action, and I played the heck out of that demo. I never got around to actually buying the game, but I definitely logged some time on that demo. Now Geometry Wars Retro Evolved 2 is out, and I did drop my hard earned Microsoft points for this one. Is it worth the 800 points, or should I have just stuck with my demo-playing practices of old? It’s been a long time since Agents Scully and Mulder last delved into the mysterious world of the paranormal. Now they’re back with their second big screen excursion, The X-Files: I Want To Believe. It was a huge week for Marvel’s Secret Invasion storyline with no less than six tie-in comics released at the same time! Contributing to the crossover were New Avengers #43, Thunderbolts #122, Avengers: The Initiative #15, Secret Invasion: Skrulls!, She-Hulk #31, and New Warriors #14. With all those issues, the story had to have some huge developments, right? Well, not really. Here’s a look at what happened, how and to whom this past week in Secret Invasion.
The whole Skrull invasion saga kicked off back in New Avengers when Echo killed Elektra, who turned out to be a Skrull. The newest week’s worth of Secret Invasion releases finally shows us how and when Elektra was replaced, and we also get some more side-plot developments via Mighty Avengers #16, X-Factor #33, and Incredible Hercules #119. Here’s a look at what happened in the saga this past week.
The Dark Knight obliterated movie theaters this weekend with an astounding and record breaking opening. If you haven’t seen it, yet, you really owe it to yourself to get out to a showing immediately. John went to see it opening night, and here’s his review, including spoilers.

There’s been a lot of odd hype and counter-hype about the upcoming XBox 360 hack and slash game Too Human. Over on the Neogaf forums, the developer even got into some heated conversations with posters about his own game, pre-release. The Too Human demo has dropped onto the XBox Live Marketplace now, and I’ve had a chance to play through it. So how good is it really?
