For the final installment of this year’s posts on geekifying your holiday season, here are some Star Wars- and Star Trek-themed nutcrackers. It’s too late for this year, of course, but you could get a jump on next year’s decorations!

Last Friday through this Saturday is Hanukkah, and as most people know, one of the most iconic elements of the Jewish Festival of Lights is the menorah. As with Christmas ornaments and nativity scenes, geeky Jews have found ways to bring their fandom to their religion. Here are five geeky menorahs, plus a bonus geeky dreidel!

Along with the store-bought licensed Christmas ornaments that you’ve probably seen before, there are a lot of very creative geeks out there making their own. Here are ten handmade geeky Christmas ornaments.

Nativity scenes are a traditional Christmas decoration, but — perhaps inspired by the famous skit from “Merry Christmas, Mr. Bean” wherein Mr. Bean plays with the nativity scene in Harrod’s department store — geeks around the globe have made their own fandom-inspired versions of the nativity scene.

The very creative folks at Bolts & Bots use polymer clay to make adorable little robots themed on hobbies, characters from pop culture, and holidays. One of those holidays just happens to be today, so I found these three adorable Thanksgiving-inspired bots while searching for this week’s feature and couldn’t resist making a whole post just for them.

Charaben are bento boxes inspired by, as the name suggests, characters from popular culture. I’ve featured charaben bento boxes here on Fandomestic before, so if you’ve been following along you know how amazing they can be, but perhaps, like me, you didn’t realize they constituted their own subset of the bento box art form.

Between The Fourth Kind and V, this week in fandom seems to be all about aliens. The truth is out there, and so are a whole lot of crafts inspired by aliens and UFOs. Here are ten that are out of this world (sorry, couldn’t resist).
