The sequel to Robert Rodriguez’s 2005 adaptation of Frank Miller’s Sin City comics was scheduled for release this coming October, but fans learned today that they’ll have to wait a little longer to see the return of Marv and his vicious buddies. The movie, titled Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, now is slated for an August 22, 2014, debut. Given that the film already is far along, it’s likely that the delays have to do with the extensive amount of post production effects needed to give the movie its appropriately stark and noirish style. Sin City 2 boasts an impressive cast that includes Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis, Eva Green, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Dennis Haysbert, and a score of others.
