Fringe Gains Ground

Fox’s new weird science thriller Fringe gained some ground this week, as its second episode boasted ratings that were 47% higher than the lackluster showing of the pilot episode. Now in its regular timeslot after House, Fringe brought in 13.4 million viewers, definitely better than the first episode.

Fringe comes from J. J. Abrams, as well as a large portion of the crew behind Alias. And indeed, it often feels like a good cross between Alias and The X-Files. If you’re missing your dose of televised weirdness and hated this year’s X-Files movie as much as I did, Fringe could be just what you’re looking for.
