We’re halfway through 2010, and it’s time to take stock of the best of the year to this point. We polled the Fandomania staff to get their favorites of the past six months. Yesterday you got the list of the staff’s favorite games of 2010, and today you’re getting our favorite movies of the front half of 2010.

This week we talk about Iron Man 2, discuss some of the recent renewals and cancellations on TV, and delve into the past week’s worth of new episodes.

Hot on the heels of a hugely successful weekend for Iron Man 2, Hong Kong toy company Hot Toys has unveiled their next release in their growing Iron Man 2 12″ action figure line: Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff, the Black Widow.

I approached Iron Man 2 with a mixture of excitement and apprehension. Thankfully, what I came to discover was a fun, if somewhat long, action film with a surprisingly complex plot and a cast of very interesting and diverse characters.

There’s a little movie coming out this week that just might warrant a Fan Art Friday feature. What movie, you ask? You’ve gotta be kidding me!

The long-awaited sequel to 2008′s Iron Man comes out in US theaters this week, having already made a ton overseas. There are crafts of Tony Stark in every medium imaginable, but I just love the irony (no pun intended) of making the armor-clad Avenger out of cotton-stuffed felt.

In honor of the upcoming release of the superhero flick Kick-Ass this Friday, I’m counting down the greatest self-made heroes that human ingenuity and imagination has to offer. Without further ado, here’s today’s greatest self-made hero: Iron Man, aka Tony Stark.
