Coming up in the next few months, there will be two really cool geek music events. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to attend either one, even though one is in Orlando. Bummer, but hopefully there will be video available for those of us who can’t go.
First up is the aforementioned event in Orlando on April 18 at the Geek Easy. Headlining is Nuclear Bubble Wrap, with Marc with a C and The Gekkos supporting. So it’s three of the first four interviewees for my podcast, which makes it all the more disappointing that I can’t go. I’m sure it will be a great show. There’s a Facebook events page with more details. Oh, and did I mention that it’s free? Because — it’s free!
Then in June (the 5th through the 7th) is the second annual FuMPFeST in Wheeling, IL, near Chicago. Headliners for this event are The Arrogant Worms, a band I really need to check out more. Plenty of other FuMPers will also be playing, including two more podcast guests, Smashy Claw and Insane Ian (his episode will go up on April 17), as well as the great Luke Ski, Devo Spice, and Mikey Mason (among many others, of course).
Prices go up on April 1, so be sure to register soon!
