I’m all for going digital and getting rid of physical media clutter, but one of the sacrifices that includes is the loss of the bonus features and commentary tracks that have become mainstays of the DVD and Blu-ray formats. Netflix, the arguable leader in the digital TV and movie arena, addressed that need this week by adding commentary tracks to all 13 episodes in the first season of their hit political drama House of Cards. If you watch those episodes through Netflix now you’ll be able to change the audio settings to play the new tracks alongside the video. The commentaries come from David Fincher, Joel Schumacher, James Foley, Charles McDougall, Carl Franklin, and Allen Coulter.
