In 2008, the Chicago-based Slay-A-Thon, an annual charity event organized by Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel fans, raffled off a particularly cool prize: a playset of the iconic Magic Box, made by fanvidder (and modeler) HammerPixVideo.

Designed in scale with the 6″ action figures from Moore and Diamond Select, the model features incredible detail of the Magic Box set as it appears in Seasons 5 and 6 of Buffy, serving as a headquarters for the Scooby Gang.

Of course, there are a few non-canon additions, like the Slay-A-Thon poster on the back wall and the magazine rack with covers featuring Buffy cast members. They’re subtle enough to fit in while providing a little bit of meta humor for the Buffy fan.

These photos showcase the overall awesomeness of the Magic Box playset, but to truly appreciate it, you’ll need to follow the link and check out the other detail shots at full size.
