Wow, I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since I did my first list of parodies. I have no idea how I managed to get that far behind with this one… Anyway, on to the music!
the great Luke Ski – “The Twilight Zone” (parody of “Twilight Zone” by Golden Earring)
Luke Ski brings us another great parody about a great TV show (and movie). I particularly love the inclusion of the dialogue from Third Rock from the Sun at the end of the video.
the great Luke Ski – “Gettin’ Giggity Wit It” (parody of “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It” by Will Smith)
Yup, giggity sounds like jiggy, hence the parody. Bloody ridiculous, indeed!
Bonecage – “Heisenberg” (parody of “Africa” by Toto)
Oh, man, this one is so freakin’ good! It took me a while to get into Breaking Bad, but it was all worth it for this parody (well, I suppose the show was pretty great, too…).
Bonecage – “Saul Goodman (Who You Gonna Call?)” (parody of “Ghostbusters” by Ray Parker, Jr.)
Of course you can’t leave out Better Call Saul if you’re going to parody Breaking Bad.
Insane Ian – “Rocket and Groot” (parody of “Rocky Raccoon” by The Beatles)
Given that Rocket takes his name from The Beatles’ song, it was inevitable that someone would make this parody. I’m sure there are plenty of others, but obviously Insane Ian’s is the best.
Insane Ian feat. Bonecage – “Fury Road” (parody of “Holiday Road” by Lindsey Buckingham)
I still haven’t seen the movie, but I’m pretty sure I’m going to have to do so now.
Team Unicorn – “All About that Base” (parody of “All About that Bass” by Meghan Trainor)
I’m pretty sure this is what this song should have been about in the first place. It’s certainly what I think of if I ever hear the original.
Hawkeye Sings About His Superpowers (parody of “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran)
Oh, man, you guys, did you know that Hawkeye really does have superpowers? They’re pretty sweet, too! Gotta love Jeremy Renner for this!
Teddie Films – “Bandolier” (parody of “Chandelier” by Sia)
This song dares to ask the question, “What if Leia and Chewbacca got together while Han was frozen in carbonite?” It is definitely the video that makes this so great. (h/t to Bonnie Burton on c|net for this one).
Matthew Belinkie – “Turn Down for Hutt” (parody of “Turn Down for What” by DJ Snake and Lil Jon)
This is way better than “Jedi Rocks” or even “Lapti Nek.” George Lucas needs to make yet another version of the movie… Yeah, maybe not… (another one from c|net).
