This one of the those crushworthy characters that I want to draw attention to because they aren’t well known. I’m also feeling the literary love this week. One character from Chloe Neill’s Chicagoland Vampires series has been featured on here already. Now, it’s time to pay homage to my favorite character in the whole book.
Who is He?
Catcher Bell is a butt kicking sorcerer in Chloe Neill’s Chicagoland Vampires series. Catcher knows how to sling magic as well as use a sword. Catcher has an attitude to match his feats. You can find him backing up Merit and Ethan, doing work from the supernatural Ombuds office, or watching a Lifetime network movie. Catcher was a high-level sorcerer in an order of sorcerers before he was kicked out. He is also the significant other of Merit’s best friend, Mallory.
Fun Fact:
Catcher’s middle name is Eustice. It’s a real hardcore name for a hardcore guy.
Why So Crushworthy?
I knew I was going to get a fictional crush on Catcher from the first page he appeared on. I mean, his name is enough to garner attention. Catcher is a rebel with some cause. Catcher was previously a member of the Union of Amalgamated Sorcerers and Spellcasters (U-ASS) and he had a falling out with them. He and his amazing sorcerer powers work for the good of the supernatural community of Chicago. Catcher’s snarky personality, to be honest, is endearing. He doesn’t look or act the part of sorcerer.
Catcher is pretty much a stud. He is good looking and he will watch Lifetime movies with you. He will also teach you magic if you’ve got the gift. Despite his gruff exterior and snarky comebacks, Catcher is a really good guy. His ironic t-shirts have no reflection on his ability to be romantic. His feelings for Mallory really skyrocket him to the top level of crushworthiness. He goes above and beyond to bring her back from the darkside.
Seriously, thought. Check out the Chicagoland Vampires series so you can experience the wonderful quips of Catcher Bell.
