Tim Burton’s 9 Looks Amazing
The trailer for 9, the upcoming CGI film from Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov, looks dark and stunning. I’m typically not a huge fan of computer animated movies, but this one doesn’t seem to have anthropomorphic animals, talking cars, or a youngster lost in the city on his own, so I’m more intrigued. In fact, 9 is a post-apocalyptic story set in an alternate reality in which a group of sapient rag dolls is trying to save humanity. The cast of voices includes Elijah Wood, Jennifer Connelly, John C. Reilly, Crispin Glover, Martin Landau, and Christopher Plummer, and the movie is adapted from a short film by Shane Acker.
9 is scheduled for release in theaters on, appropriately enough, 09/09/09.
