X-Files Sequel Has A Title

X-Files creator Chris Carter has revealed the title to the upcoming X-Files movie sequel, and it’s a callback to the poster that hung in Fox Mulder’s office throughout the run of the TV series. The movie will be called The X-Files: I Want To Believe.

While it’s a much better title than the “Done One” title that was listed on IMDB for a long time, I’m still a little shaky about it for much the same reason that Ain’t It Cool states. Who is the “I” in the title? If there were any non-believers remaining in the cast by the end of the TV series, I can’t imagine who they’d be.

The X-Files: I Want To Believe will be in theaters July 25.
