I’ve never played an Elder Scrolls game before, but I’m insanely excited for Skyrim. I don’t have Skyrim yet, but I am looking forward to having it in my hands and running around the world. These are the top 5 things I’m looking forward to in Skyrim. The images below might be spoilery if you don’t have the game/haven’t got that far.
5. The Skills
I want to try all of them and see what suits me best. The Skyrim trailers made all three skills (Mage, Thief, and Warrior) look amazing and badass. It will also be fun to experiment with play styles; both hands filled with magic, sword and shield, or something else entirely.
4. The Races
You can play as three types of Elves, an Orc, a reptile thing, a cat thing, and different types of Humans. I want to fiddle with each one and see what they look like in the character creator screen.
3. Companions
Traveling the world with someone at your side is fun. Even if they try to get in the way of your attacks (like FO:NV Companions). Still, it’s nice to have a pack mule around for when you pick up too much stuff and go over the weight limit.
2. The World
Like I said before, I just want to run around the world of Skyrim and explore everything. I want to run across monsters that might kill me. I want to climb to the highest mountain and look out around me. From what I’ve seen the world looks beautiful.
1. Dragons
I love dragons. I love anything having to do with dragons. It’s too bad that you have to kill them in this game so you can gain their powers and save the world. I really want to see a dragon in game, as some of them looking terrifying. I want to see what dragons do in game (breathe fire, I hope) and I want to see how big they really are.
