I like to think that the holidays are about sharing, so in the first part of this three-part series, I am here to share some of my favorite channels on YouTube. All of them have to do with gaming and more. Most of the channels use mature language, so if you don’t like that you should stay away.
1. NPCwars
This channel recently stopped making videos, but that doesn’t mean you still can’t go check it out. It has videos of NPCs from Fallout and Skyrim fighting. From the Legion vs. NCR to Ulfric vs. Tullius, there is a lot of content. Here’s a video that got the channel some attention:
2. inthelittlewood
Started by Martyn as a mainly Minecraft channel, it has expanded out into a few other games. His videos are fun to watch and Martyn’s play style is always fun to watch. Here’s the first video of his latest Minecraft series:
3. TotalHalibut
A channel for videos about all kinds of games; including World of Warcraft (no longer covered), Starcraft, and many, many others. Some people are put off by TotalBiscuit’s attitude at times, but he says what he thinks without pulling his punches. If you can deal with that, you should look at his channel. Here’s the latest video about the new Star Wars MMO:
4. The Totally Rad Show
More of a podcast rather than a YouTube channel (although it is on YouTube), but still a great show to check out. Hosted by Alex, Dan, and Jeff, the three of them review everything from movies to board games. They do other things besides reviews and hold many live shows. If you want to see if you like them, watch their review of the new Mission: Impossible movie:
5. OMFGCata
OMFGCata was started by Jesse Cox and his friends to cover the Cataclysm beta. While the channel still covers WoW, it has expanded to include other games such as Minecraft, DCUO, Skyrim, and more. Jesse is a voice actor, so he tends to make up voices for NPCS when doing a play through. With a unique sense of humor and a cast of characters helping him in his videos, Jesse’s channel is one to look up. Here’s the latest video posted to the channel:
6. BlueXephos
BlueXephos is the main channel for The Yogscast, a highly popular gaming channel, hosted by Simon and Lewis. Like their friends Totalbiscuit and Jesse Cox, they used to cover WoW content, but have moved onto Minecraft and their hit show, Shadow of Israphel. They also cover other games such as Final Fantasy XIV, Skyrim, Saints Row the Third, and more. Here’s their first video in their second annual Advent Calendar:
Next time I’d like to talk about a series that is one of my most favorite things ever: One Piece.
