If you enjoyed the weirdness of Joseph Fiennes’ Merlin in Starz’s short-lived Camelot series, you might want to check out his turn as legendary prophet Nostradamus in an upcoming TV production. The Hollywood Reporter says that Anonymous Content (the company behind HBO’s True Detective) and Carnival Films (Downton Abbey‘s producers) are working on this historical drama that surely will feature some fantastical elements, given Nostradamus’s historical legacy. The series will have Nostradamus seeking revenge for the murders of his family, a scenario that contradicts the real-life version of events. Other casting and shooting dates have yet to be announced.
