The first thing I thought of when you asked if there was anything that fits the “fandom dissatisfaction” category, was pro wrestling. We all know it’s scripted, but we still watch it for the athletic competition, as well as occasionally for the story. The fandom complaints come in when a horrible promo is given, or a storyline goes in a dumb direction, or geriatrics still get a spot on the show instead of a younger guy who is far more talented at this point. Many pro wrestling fans feel, at this point, that 70% of televised wrestling is horrible and nearly unwatchable, but still watch it for the glimmer of hope that the remaining 30% gives us.
