I am astonished that I have not written about this character sooner. After all, she is one of my favorite video game ladies. She is very high up on the list, too. I liked her so much I even had to cosplay her. Not only is she one of my favorite characters she is also part of one of my favorite video game franchises. I have already written about her male other half — well, other half if a normal relationship existed between them. So, without further ado I give you Ada Wong.

Who is She?
Ada is the morally ambiguous femme fatale in the Resident Evil series by Capcom. She first appeared in Resident Evil 2 alongside Leon and Claire Redfield. Since then, she has popped up in different RE games on missions that are shady. She helps out the protagonists in the games, mainly Leon, but you can’t be sure if she is doing it for herself or them. To say she is beautiful and deadly would be an understatement.
Fun Facts:
- Ada always has something red on.
- Ada’s origins are completely unknown.
- Ada’s grappling hook is considered one of her signature weapons.
- Ada is fond of butterfly designs. Her RE4 dress and RE6 compact are good examples.
- Fan Fact: Wearing a thigh holster while cosplaying as Ada was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever worn.
Why So Crushworthy?
Ada is the type of lady I wish I was, sometimes. I am not talking about the covert spy skills or wanting to be an assassin. I loved the the confidence and mysterious air the game writers gave her. If Ada were a real person, she would be the type of lady that is 100% comfortable in her own skin. Ada doesn’t mind doing the dirty work. She is rather proud of her skills. Not everyone can take down monsters twice her size and do it all in heels. She doesn’t trouble herself with moral questions — but Ada is not heartless. She has feelings for the people she helps. I mean, she keeps saving Leon so there is something there. Her origins are unknown but I am sure Ada didn’t get the chance to experience kinder emotions growing up. Maybe one day her origins will be explained.
Of course, if they were then the level of mystery would go down. I don’t think it would take away from her character. Ada is a different kind of sexy game character. Her breasts are reasonably sized. Her clothes cover most of her body. She doesn’t have supernatural powers. Ada looks like someone you would see in real life and try to pick up. Oh, she would turn you down but you wouldn’t realize she did until hours later. Ada’s mini games have been one of my favorite things to play in Resident Evil. I like seeing her tough, kick-ass style in action. She helps save the day each time even though she is working for some serious bad guys. I enjoy her banter with Leon and how she is always a step ahead of him. Ada will always be one of my favorite characters.
