The best part about books — at least for authors — is series. They allow a bibliophile to get really addicted. They have to continue reading because it’s more a necessity than a want. So to cap off this month I’ll get right to it — the best book series out there.
10. A Series of Unfortunate Events
Am I basing a big chunk of this of the movie? Oh, most definitely, but even my younger brother who absolutely loathes anything involving education loved these books back in the day.
9. A Song of Ice and Fire
Who knew these things existed before the show? Who knew the show existed before its, like, third season? Nevertheless, you have to love the murder, incest and dragons.
8. Nancy Drew
All lead females in crime dramas should thank Drew for paving the way.
7. Twilight
Is it dumb? I would say yes, but millions of Twihards would disagree.
6. The Baby-Sitters Club
A group of girls from all different backgrounds coming together to earn a living in suburbia — it’s a gem that will forever shine bright for those who discover it.
5. The Hunger Games
I still can’t believe this is a young adult series. It’s like Survivor meets Degrassi with a pinch of horror tossed in.
4. Diary of a Wimpy Kid
Every generation of elementary school kids deserves a character like Greg.
3. The Lord of the Rings
I think you can put this one on the shelf with literary classics.
2. Goosebumps
If this was solely personal, it’d be number one, but there is one more that edges it out.
1. Harry Potter
There’s no touching the mass hysteria this series caused and it might be a long while before we see another like it.
Next week we start the final part of the Fandomanual series and end with toys and all they encompass!
