Shirley Manson Joins Terminator: TSCC Cast

When Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles returns for its second season, it will have gained a new high profile cast member. Garbage lead singer Shirley Manson has signed on to play Catherine Weaver, “the CEO of a cutting-edge high-tech company.” With the Connors gunning for SkyNet, one has to wonder whether Weaver’s character might be instrumental in the eventual building of the Terminator program.

Terminator 4 To Be PG-13

In breaking with the previous three movies in the franchise, all rated R, Terminator 4 is shooting for a PG-13 rating. The new rating goal isn’t entirely surprising, given that the successful Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles has widened the fanbase on Fox with a TV series that probably would rate PG-13 on the film scale.

The fourth Terminator movie is titles Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins and stars Christian Bale as John Connor. It currently is slated for a May 22, 2009, release.

Moon Bloodgood Joins Terminator 4

Actress Moon Bloodgood is in final talks to join the cast of the fourth Terminator movie. Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins stars Christian Bale as John Connor and is directed by McG. Bloodgood, best known from the brief NBC series Journeyman, would be the female lead for the film. She currently is shooting the Street Fighter film adaptation as Maya.

Sarah Connor Chronicles Gets Second Season

Michael Ausiello at TV Guide has confirmed that Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles will be returning for a second season. The fantastic series that out-terminates Terminator 3 has not received an official announcement of renewal from Fox, Ausiello’s sources say it’s so, and he tends to be right on these things.
