Last August, I featured an introduction to nerdcore via some of the founders of the genre. This time, I’m going to feature a two-part series of Next Generation nerdcore (or at least nerdy) rappers. These artists have all hit the scene in the last couple of years, proving that nerdcore isn’t going anywhere any time soon.

More than seventy well-known actors have portrayed Holmes over the years, so it’s forgivable if you’ve missed a few of them along the way. Here are ten that might come as a surprise.

Having finished my first full year of writing this column, I figured it would be a good idea to put out my own “Best Of” list for 2011. So, without further ado, here’s my personal Top 15 Geek Music Releases for 2011.

With 2011 coming to a close, it’s time for us to revisit our annual tradition of looking back at our favorite releases of the past year. We polled the Fandomania staff and asked for everyone’s favorite video games of 2011. This list is a compilation of the results.

Remember when people panicked because they thought the Zodiac signs were going to change? While you laugh at your friend who swears she’s going to find her true love because Mars is in her Moon wave, sit back and see who and what made 2011 newsworthy.

At the end of each year we like to round up lists of our staff’s favorite movies, TV shows, and video games from the past twelve months. We realize not everything will be hugs and puppies, though, so this year we’re also taking a look back at our biggest disappointments in geekery from 2011.

In the final part of Sharing for the Holidays, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite things, be they movies, comics, or video games.

In 2003, Richard Curtis wrote and directed a romantic comedy set at Christmastime. While it never garnered rave reviews in this country or even in its native Britain, it’s had an unknowing effect on the United States, introducing several actors now well-known to most most of geekdom if not everyone else.

It’s chilly outside, so why not snuggle up with a good story? Here are the top five books and comics that you could read when the weather outside is frightful and you want to stay warm and cozy.

I like to think that the holidays are about sharing, so in the first part of this three-part series, I am here to share some of my favorite channels on YouTube. All of them have to do with gaming and more. Most of the channels use mature language, so if you don’t like that you should stay away.
