
Russ Lane grew up with The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings books, and after Peter Jackson’s movie trilogy he was inspired to make a model of the hobbit home as seen in the films. But it wasn’t until a recent back injury that he was able to devote the time necessary — two months — and, in fact, working on the model aided in his recovery.

Mass Effect fan Jason David has been riding his 2001 Yamaha Vstar 1100 Custom bike since 2005, but this past November was in a minor accident that required some repair and repainting. He took the opportunity to customize his bike in the style of Commander Shepard’s N7 armor from the game.
