When it comes to the best Halloween attraction, Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights is only ever in a competition with itself. Always looking to outdo themselves, they have achieved ultimate modern-day nostalgic realness by announcing the addition of a Stranger Things attraction for the 2018 season.

Working alongside Netflix and the masterminds of the series — creators Matt and Ross Duffer and executive producer Shawn Levy — Universal Studios in Hollywood, Orlando, and Singapore are about to be overrun by Demogorgon as they bring all new mazes to their parks. For anyone who has binged each season 20 or so times already, they’re expecting perfection and we’re pretty sure that’ll be delivered. If the Stranger Things maze is anything like the ones from the Insidious franchise or Halloween in years past, then fans can expect to be tossing their friends and family in front of them for safety. Yes, my fiancé did that to me in The Walking Dead maze numerous times.

A Halloween tradition for many, Horror Nights is a chance to be tossed into your favorite horror and sci-fi movies and television shows. As I mentioned already, The Walking Dead, Insidious, and Halloween have all been given their own mazes but there are other great aspects of the evening as well. Walking nightmares lurk around the remainder of the park in a mist of fog searching for attendees to spook, and if we’re lucky Horror Nights will still have The Purge experience this year alongside Stranger Things. It was by far one of the most entertaining things I’ve ever done at a theme park — well, that is, until now where I get to toss on my headband and pretend to be Lucas in this upcoming Stranger Things maze, a maze that will feature everything from Hawkins Lab to the Byers home adorned with Joyce’s communicative Christmas lights. I just hope that Barb is there, somewhere. #Justice4Barb. Also, if we can get a dude as handsome as Hopper doing that little dance from season two, all will be well with the world.

If you thought this only happens come October, think again my friends. You can experience Stranger Things and all the rest starting September 14 at Universal Studios Hollywood and Orlando, and September 28 at Universal Singapore.
