I have have high hopes for Edward Kenway bringing back the oomph that made Assassin’s Creed great. I was sadly disappointed by Connor. The five male killers on my list are different types of assassins. You’ve got the flashy types and the ones that hide in the shadows. Some use guns and others use blades. Either way, the men on this list are masters of their craft.

1. Ezio Auditore da Firenze, Assassin’s Creed: II, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations

How could he not be on this list? Ezio made the video game series. We followed him from a novice to a master. When people think of AC, they think of Ezio. He perfected the many ways to take down his enemies. Ezio also had a very charming personality… until you found his hidden blade stabbed into your neck.

2. Deadpool (Wade Wilson), Marvel Universe

deadpool

Mercenary and assassin are often the same thing. You get paid to take lives. Deadpool lives up to his name. Deadpool is a mental headcase so begging for your life probably wouldn’t work. He is likely to crack a joke while he is slicing your head off with his swords. Deadpool has a combination of mutant powers and killing skills from years of training. You can neither run nor hide from him.

3. Edward, The Anita Blake Series

Before his character was completely changed by the author, Edward was the epitome of a cold-blooded hitman. He would do anything for the right amount of money. His secret, dark ops background makes him the poster boy of hitmen. He mostly kills supernatural monsters but he doesn’t shy from taking out humans either.

4. James Bond

jamesbond

Ah, the man is a legend across the world. From his beginnings in Ian Fleming’s novel to Quantum of Solace, you know who he is. 007 has been taking out men for the sake of saving the world since 1953. He prefers using silenced guns or some other high tech gadget to take out his foes. After taking out a villain with an exaggerated European accent, he can be found in the arms of his newest Bond girl. He wins the assassin with style award.

5. Rā’s al Ghūl, DC Universe

rasalghul

He is head of the deadliest organization of assassins in the DC universe. He is in the business of bringing death. He trained other famous murder-for-hires likes Bane, Lady Shiva, and Cassandra Cain. The man has had centuries to master many forms of combat. He is also practically immortal thanks to the Lazarus Pits.
