In honor of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag‘s game release, I decided to delve into the world of hitmen and women. I am waiting on the PS4 release of the game so I have to bide my time until then. The idea for these two articles was born. Female death bringers are often called femme fatales. These ladies listed below are as beautiful as they are deadly.
1. Nikita, Le Femme Nikita & Nikita
Ah, Nikita. She was the first woman assassin I actually watched. I will never forget Peta Wilson in the first television version. Nikita is a great assassin. She can go undercover and take you out quicker than you can eat lunch. Whether you prefer the old or new Nikita, she is still just as dangerous.
2. Ada Wong, Resident Evil Series
My love for Ada is deep. She is my favorite female Resident Evil character. She definitely fits into the femme fatale category. She can take you out and look really good doing it. I also love how you don’t know if she is motivated by good or evil intentions. A female anti-hero is rare and amazing.
3. Beatrix Kiddo, Kill Bill 1 & 2
She could take out you with a sword or a gun. She was part of the “Deadly Viper Assassination Squad” before taking a bullet to the head. When she woke up from a coma she was a deadly killer set on revenge. Who can forget the fight scene with the Crazy 88s? I wish there was movie about Beatrix’s early days as a hit woman.
4. Hit-Girl, Kick-Ass 1 & 2
You don’t mess with Mindy Macready. I wish I had her abilities in high school. Well, I could do without the sociopathic tendencies but the skill to kick some butt would have been useful. I thought she was beyond awesome the first time I saw Kick-Ass. She is the toughest teenager around and she will drop you in a second.
5. Elektra, Marvel Comics
She is a kunoichi, a female ninja assassin. There is nothing more awesome in my opinion. Elektra handles her sais with killer grace. She has been all over the Marvel Universe, even working for S.H.I.E.L.D. for a time. It was a toss up between her and Black Widow for a spot on the list. The ninjitsu won out. Women in black skintight suits are too common.
