A few years back, a comic book called ’68 summoned the living dead up to storm the jungles of Vietnam. The story continues with a new ’68 miniseries that’s being published by Image Comics, and the creators will be promoting it heavily at this year’s Phoenix Comicon. Mark Kidwell (Bump, Frazetta’s Dark Kingdom), Nat Jones (Frazetta’s Death Dealer, Rob Zombie’s The Nail), and Jay Fotos (Frazetta’s Death Dealer, Locke & Key) will be in attendance, and they’ll be presenting a special limited edition 11″ x 17″ print of Napalm Charlie (shown above).
Jay Fotos, a local to the Phoenix area, says, “The Phoenix Comicon is hot! I’m so happy that Mark, Nat, and I will be here to unleash the plague of the ’68 re-launch. The fans have been dying for it, and so have we!”
The Phoenix Comicon will be held at the Phoenix Convention Center and Hyatt Regency over Memorial Day Weekend (May 27-30, 2010). You can get all the details and preorder a pass at the official website: phoenixcomicon.com
