Well, geez, it seems that it’s time for yet another list of cool music videos. Featuring some familiar voices plus some new ones, they run the gamut from former presidents to gay cows to Canadian cuisine. Yeah, when I put it that way, it does sound pretty weird. Anyway, let’s get on to the videos!

“Bill Clinton” – Ultra Magnus & DJ SLAM! (NSFW)

When I reviewed The Raw, I mentioned this as a favorite. I just wish it had the amazing Clinton quote at the end. Still, brilliant song.

“Shades of Negative” – Mr. Negative

So, recently I was thinking about one of my former students who used to make music. A couple of days later I ran into him. He’s still making music. And it’s still really cool! Awesome!

“The Agenda” – Nuclear Bubble Wrap

OK, I’ll admit it. I actually didn’t realize this was what the song was about. It seems so obvious now. I love it even more!

“Start Over” – MC Frontalot

Seeing Front play all of the major roles in this video makes it worthwhile on its own. Add in the fact that it’s a fun song about “Red Riding Hood” and narrative authority, and you’ve got a really great video.

“I Can’t Remember Your Name” – Marc with a C

Once again, the video for one of Marc’s songs gives a whole new take on the meaning of it. Love it!

“Beautiful Richard” – Claire and the Potatoes

What, a new Claire and the Potatoes song? Well, no, not exactly. But you know you’re gonna listen anyway, so just go do it!

“Say Hello to San Francisco” – AJ in Evolution

Marc with a C wrote this, and with AJ singing and playing guitar, you know it’s got to be good.

“Level Up” – Tek Force

Tek Force, aka B.B. Stuart from Digital Champions, sent us his newest single, “New Game Plus” which features Mega Ran. It’s an awesome single, no doubt, but in looking up his other music, I ran across this video. The video production is really impressive, and it tells a story that I think pretty much any of us who grew up with old school video games can identify with. Check out both!

“Artillery” – Mega Ran and Storyville

Speaking of Mega Ran, his new project with Storyville, Soul Veggies, bring us a new video about rap battles. Plus there’s a DeLorean. So cool!

“Rex Marksley” – Steam Powered Giraffe

I have to say it’s kinda weird seeing The Spine out of makeup and dressed up as a cowboy. But it’s a fun video anyway.

“Stock Options” – Kudos the Kid

Kudos’s celebration of individuality and anti-corporate message will undoubtedly resonate with many of us independent people. Plus you gotta love the subtle reference to one of their VPC songs.

“Poutine” – Ghettosocks (feat. Loe Pesci and Full Course)

The video for the newest, gooiest track from ‘Socks’s album, For You Pretty Things, looks like it comes straight out of Blade Runner. And it’s got me curious to know if poutine means something other than the obvious. Regardless, it’s a great song.

aj in evolution, claire and the potatoes, ghettosocks, kudos the kid, marc with a c, MC Frontalot, Mega Ran aka Random, mr. negative, nuclear bubble wrap, steam powered giraffe, storyville, tek force, Ultra Magnus & DJ SLAM!
