So we’ve made it to the last week of our collecting feature and we had to talk about the fandoms out there that people go nuts over. We’ve seen that some like Lauren have a number of loves they collect and others, like our Disney pin couple, are focused in on one thing in particular. No matter what or how you collect, the most important thing is that you love it. So let’s get to the fandoms out there that seem pretty priceless to those who indulge in them.
10. Power Rangers
You have to remember that Mighty Morphin wasn’t the first and it definitely won’t be the last chapter for this franchise — from toys with flip heads to POGs, the possibilities for collecting this is never ending.
9. Train Sets
Okay, so this isn’t a pop culture thing but those dudes and gals who spend hours making little towns for their cabooses to head through need to be celebrated.
8. Star Trek
All you can say to these rabid fans is, “Long live and prosper — and we’re kind of interested in how many suits you own…”
7. Pokémon
It’s true, you really do have to catch ‘em all.
6. Nintendo
You need the consoles, the games, the stuffed animals based on characters from said games, the t-shirts, the art. It’s all a necessity to showcase you’re a diehard Nintendo gamer.
5. Comics
Some might say that it’s a bit extreme to have to have these things in plastic but those who take pride in their comic books would think those people are nuts for wanting to actually put their dirty little fingers on a mint condition issue #1 of such and such whatever.
4. LEGO
The only one on this list that wouldn’t kill you if it fell apart.
3. Barbies
She’s everything from a doctor to a McDonald’s employee. Plus Barbie is a fashion icon and there is nothing more fun than picking out what she’ll wear next. God, I wish it weren’t weird for a 27-year-old to play with Barbies still.
2. Star Wars
What? Not number one?
1. Disney
You have to take into account that Disney isn’t just one character or one movie — it’s forever expanding and will likely NEVER stop. Who doesn’t have a piece of Disney in their homes?
