At this year’s Dragon Con we had the opportunity to interview Timothy Zahn for the Fandomania Podcast. While talking with him, he told us about a new 4X video game called Parallax that he’s working on with Prototype X Software. Parallax will be a retro “conquer the galaxy” game reminiscent of the original Master of Orion game and that incorporates some of Timothy Zahn’s favorite alien creations into the game’s lore and gameplay. Once the Kickstarter completes successfully, the funding perks will give fans a chance to contribute their time and creativity toward building the game, and that’s where this week’s giveaway comes in! Timothy Zahn gave us three special codes to pass along to you, each of which can be redeemed for one of the Kickstarter level perks. Three lucky winners each will receive one of the codes, which will be distributed randomly among the winners. The codes will unlock:
- Propeller Head ($150 funding level) – Create a technology that will be included in the game’s tech tree, and you will be listed as the Lead Researcher in the tech’s details.
- Beta Tester ($250 funding level) – Get early access to the game, months before they release it into the wild (and possibly more, depending on when they’re ready to beta test it on your platform).
- Limitless Expansion ($75 funding level) – Unlimited access to the whole experience: every expansion pack they ever release for the game, and you’ll get extra-early access to them (usually as soon as they start developing them).
