My favorite British series currently airing is Being Human. That being said, my favorite British series of all time is HEX. That show was great and I’m still disappointed that it didn’t get a third season. It would’ve been nice to have an ending to the series. Maybe one of these days, they’ll release Series two on DVD here in the states so I can add it to my collection.

My all time favorite British series’ not currently airing are The Young Ones, Red Dwarf, and Absolutely Fabulous.
I’ve got to go with Monty Python’s Flying Circus. Got me hooked to British Comedy as a kid, earned me friends as a young adult, and my dad would start each semester of his Intro to Political Science class with a clip from Holy Grail.

My favorite British series was Upstairs Downstairs. Probably one of the best period dramas ever made. Two families; one upstairs, one downstairs and their trials and tribulations over the years. This is the one that put PBS on the map. Thirty years old and it’s still totally absorbing, sophisticated, and fun to watch. It is a classic, period
Dr. Who. The first time I saw Dr. Who was at a friend’s house. The Caves of Androzani. Then I was hooked.
Brideshead Revisited
I must admit that I have so many favorite BBC shows over the last decade and as much as I enjoy Doctor Who and Top Gear and Hustle and so many others, but something I can watch over and over again is Life on Mars. Just excellent.
My favorite British series is anything with Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie. :)
