Alan Ripley’s back and he’s determined to stop whoever’s behind the recent terrorist attacks at almost any cost. He does have an advantage: he’s one of the guys who thought up all the unthinkable ways an organization could take the entire world down. Too bad he’s kind of a bumbling idiot when it comes time for the action. If you thought what happened at the end of issue 1 was about as bad as it could get, hold onto your butts because that was just the start!

unthinkable2-2

After the bio-terrorist attack that killed one of the members of the Think Tank, Alan is even more convinced that someone is using his ideas to create mass hysteria and have society collapse completely. He even goes back to the FBI to try to convince Agent Skelly he’s not crazy. Which is, of course, Rookie Mistake number 98 (never go to the “authorities” with that kind of info — they will totally arrest you instead of help you). When that doesn’t work, he gets the gang back together again to try and figure out who’s using their ideas for evil instead of good and if there’s a way to stop them.

unthinkable2-3

This is another title that just keeps getting better. I thought there was no way to keep the momentum of issue 1 through the entire five-issue run, but so far it’s working and I’m liking it. Again, everything seems like it could really happen (or is really happening right now). If ever there were a comic out there that, after you read it, you started thinking about what could go wrong locally, then nationally, then how that can snowball into world-wide decimation, then dogs and cats are living together — mass hysteria!! — this is it. Whew! It’ll overheat your brain matter and you’ll enjoy every page of it.

And I’m an even bigger fangirl for Tedesco’s art now. Brilliant explosions and action. Totally pick this title up, it’s worth the money.

unthinkable2-4

Dude drops his gun and it kills everyone and explodes an entire oil rig! I totally LOL’d at that one.

About the Author
Summer has been a comic book junkie since the age of 13 when she stole her 7-year old brother's first three issues of the Claremont/Lee run of the X-Men. On his birthday. Right after he unwrapped them. It's been all downhill from then on.

Besides being way too into comics, Summer enjoys nerding out over various movies and television shows (Supernatural, Lost, and Doctor Who to mention a few), listening to music, and adding to her massive book collection.

Currently, she's looking for a college or university where she can finish her double major in Art History and Art Therapy and getting her work into various art galleries, all while trying to survive working in a cubicle jungle.
