Prue and her sisters are ready to put an end to this whole cursed situation: the control of power, the threat to the people they love. But as we strive to close out one chapter of the Charmed storyline, we open the door for yet another. Where will it lead us?
Note: This recap may contain spoilers!
Putting a seeming end to the Ben and Cole story, we learn that he did not shatter time when he attempted to bring Cole back. However, he has to face the devastating reality that his son is truly gone. But with Cole’s memories and body tied to Ben, it seems that there’s the potential to more blurring of the lines between the two characters. The question is, will he be facing the future with Kyra or is his tie to Phoebe too much to overcome?
Speaking of Phoebe, she didn’t fare so well in this issue’s fight, going temporarily blind and still torn up over the loss of Coop. However, she does have the hope that they will be able to save her husband eventually and share the good news of the impending birth of her daughter. But that’s a story for another time.
What concerns us this time around is Prue’s fate. With Kareem freed, Prue is ready to take on Tuatha, but it won’t be so easy. Recognizing the protection spell in place, Tuatha breaks it and causes the sisters to start falling out. Prue’s power is harming them once again and it’s up to her alone to take down Tuatha. The sisters are left behind to take on the monsters that Tuatha released from the multiple fire portals she opened, while Prue gets real up close and personal with Tuatha.
Prue lets her soul out of her body and invades Tuatha’s, trying to location Tyler while inside. Heremus makes his presence known in the form of an insect-like creature and the fight to the death, causing Tuatha to explode from the inside out. Fire falls from the sky and Tyler emerges, causing a joyous reunion between him and Kareem. Plus, Prue mentions that since she killed Heremus, she feels different. Her tattoo starts to float away and she says her connection to the All is broken. She’s back to her old self again. It looks like all will be well.
We have hope in terms of Phoebe’s future, and even Paige’s as Henry shows back up and says he doesn’t want them to end. He doesn’t know how to fix them, but he knows he wants to try. And Piper’s certainly happy to have her big sister back. Of course, appearances can’t always be trusted when dealing with the sisters.
Elsewhere, someone who looks like Prue kills a magical being after breaking into Magic School. She sends out green bursts that invade all the students’ bodies and cause them to feel like they’re on fire and it’s clear she’s got plans for them. What those plans are remain unclear, as does the identification of which is the real Prue. One seems to be disconnected from the All, while the other has both the power of the All and Heremus inside her. How will it all end? We’ll have to be patient as we await the outcome.
