As we head into the new year, Buffy and the Scooby Gangs from all the universes have come together to defeat Silas. But can the joined forces actually succeed?

The battle rages on, with all the various universes pitching in to defeat Silas. We get multiple panels of straight action, no dialogue to be found. The images convey a sense of success, that they can actually win this battle and put things right again. But Silas is strong and will not be so easily overcome.
Once Faith gets her sights on Silas, she goes after him, not heeding Buffy’s warning. The man is powerful and seems to have gotten into Faith’s mind. She is soon surrounded by the dogs before Buffy and Cam knock Silas back. Dealing with the temporary setback, they now have to make sure the rest of their plan can go through as expected. Buffy and Willow try to get everyone through the portals and are seemingly successful.
Silas comes through soon after. He ends up in a locked room, but that will not keep him for long. Silas sends his dogs back through the portal and straight into the Hellmouth, causing Silas to start losing his power a bit. With him weakened, it’s now time for Ethan to deal the final blow. Good plan, if only it could work. Instead, Silas separates him from his body and then sends the dead body through the portal.
Ethan’s body knocks Willow off balance before Silas follows it through the portal and attacks her. He takes out a red object from her abdomen, making her eat it, which throws her into a dream world. There, she sees Xander whose face takes on an evil appearance before saying he’s proud of her. With Ethan and Willow down, it’s up to Buffy to try and save her friends and defeat Silas.
Buffy tackles Silas and pushes them both through the portal. She puts the axe through his shoulder and chest, and it appears that he is down and almost out, but he is not yet defeated. Instead, he has one more trick up his sleeve. The dogs attack Buffy, draining her of her memories. The next thing she knows, she awakens in a dream-like graveyard with Giles. Then twisted versions of her family and friends start coming after her, putting her into a nightmare.
What is she to do now? And will Silas ever be defeated? We must wait until the next issue to find out!
