Willow’s dealings with Xander cast some suspicions on her true motives. And having three Slayers in Sunnydale is sure to cause some friction. The team better get past their differences if they hope to be a joined force against evil.

Willow’s astral projection trip is cut short after she is discovered. Though she doesn’t know what the demon and hooded figure are talking about, she is soon cast back to reality and into Anya’s magic shop. How she managed to move physically from where she was to the shop is anyone’s guess, but when magic’s involved a lot of strange things can happen.
Speaking of strange things happening, it seems like Willow’s devotion to Xander might get her into trouble. She still wants to believe her best friend is inside the demonic exterior, even though others are not willing to be so trusting. Willow even goes so far as to seek out Anya’s help in securing something that might help her reach Xander. And, against her better judgment, Anya does supply Willow with an amulet free of charge that she says can be used to restore Xander. Will it work? We’re not sure yet, but it appears Willow is willing to try anything.
Meanwhile, in the graveyard, Robin is meeting Faith after she helped save him. Not only is there a new Slayer in town, but also a new Watcher as well. Wesley has been following Faith for a while and decides to finally introduce himself, though Faith is not too keen on the prospect of having a Watcher or whatever crazy stories he’s cooking up to explain the things she’s been fighting against. She’s been doing well by herself and, considering Wesley hasn’t lifted a finger to help when she has gotten herself into very dangerous situations, she’s more than willing to continue her solitary fight.
And then we have the whole Jenny situation, which ties back into Willow’s issues. She turns up at Giles’ house, hurt but alive. While she pities Xander, she is also wary of the games that seem to be emerging thanks to Willow’s intervention. The witch convinced Xander to let Jenny go as a sign of good faith, so does that mean Willow will be lured in by Xander now that he’s done so? We see that the gang’s trust in Willow is starting to deteriorate, as evidenced by the scene in the library. And she’s also keeping secrets, not willing to admit where she got the amulet or for what purpose. Added to that, the demon and hooded figure she saw on her projection walk are gunning for Watchers, so they’ve got that unknown fight yet to come. Trust is going to be a needed aspect of this fight if they hope to win it. Let’s see if it comes to fruition before the team is needed.
