Hello, readers! If you are looking at this website, chances are good that you are interested in some excellent topics, chief among them being a fan of cool stuff. You have that in common with us, and there’s a chance we might have even more common ground. You see, we’re looking for some new writers, and you might be just the sort of person we want on board.
Fandomania is a multi-genre, multi-media website written and run by fans for fans. We’re into everything from sci-fi to fantasy to action, and we cover everything from movies and TV to comics and games. We post a lot of reviews, but what we’re looking for this time is a good group of folks who can write non-review articles to share with your fellow fans. Editorials, educational posts, lists, and general fandom related bloggery are the things we want. If you are opinionated, stay informed, have creative ideas about your geekiness, and are a great writer, we want to hear from you.
As Fandomania is a labor of love, none of us (including this humble editor) gets paid real-life money for what we do. Rather, we get an outlet for sharing our fandoms with the world, and we occasionally get neat freebies like comic books, novels, and DVDs. Each staff writer is expected to write at least one post per month, but we love seeing lots more than that minimum from enthusiastic writers.
If all of that sounds good to you and you have something great to contribute to the site, feel free to drop me a note directly. Include in the e-mail your name, some getting-to-know-you info about yourself, and some details about what you’d like to bring to Fandomania. Also (and this is an important one!) you’ll need to include links to some of your writing samples that will show us something similar to what you’d like to do at Fandomania. If you don’t have articles published online, you can attach or paste your writing samples to the e-mail.
Thanks for the interest, and we look forward to hearing from you!
