Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride comes to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and Digital on September 23, marking the film’s first release in 4K and celebrating its 20th anniversary. Directed by Mike Johnson and Tim Burton from a screenplay by John August, Caroline Thompson, and Pamela Pettler, the stop-motion classic features the voices of Johnny Depp as Victor Van Dort and Helena Bonham Carter as Emily, the Corpse Bride, along with Emily Watson, Tracey Ullman, Albert Finney, Christopher Lee, and Danny Elfman.
The film tells the story of Victor, who accidentally finds himself married to a bride from beyond the grave. Torn between his intended and his unexpected new partner, he is drawn into a fantastical world where the living and the dead collide in a fable that blends gothic romance with Burton’s signature style.
This new edition includes a 4K restoration with HDR and features both new and legacy extras such as behind-the-scenes reflections, design galleries, and insights into the animation process. Collectors can also pick it up in a limited steelbook edition, and fans will be able to revisit the film on the big screen this October as part of the anniversary celebration.
Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride is available to own September 23 on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and Digital.
