Paige and Piper, along with Leo, come to the tribunal in hopes of getting help with Prue. It says a lot about their current status that they would reach out to a group that they have long been opposed to. And the tribunal knows this, holding it against them in their hour of need. They do not approve of how the sisters dealt with Heremus before, so why should they lend a hand now? But honestly the sisters need the help, as they have few allies left. Phoebe and their father are at Magic School with the kids, Paige’s husband is still out of the picture, Tyler sent Prue to a pocket dimension, but she won’t stay locked away for long, and Tyler himself is in hiding, with safety no guarantee. Finally, the tribunal agrees to research the Heremus and Prue situation, if only to prevent the Old Ones from causing damage.
As the sisters work to secure some sort of safety net, Tyler, Ben, and Kyra are kidnapped. When they awake, they are in a holding cell at Cupid’s Temple with Coop. As they are all connected to Prue, having been used along her journey even though she could have chosen differently, they might hold the key to understanding and ultimately defeating her. It’s a good plan, but not one that is likely to end in success if they underestimate the power that Prue now holds. As Paige and Piper soon discover, while investigating the missing students at Knox Academy, Prue’s situation may be more dire than they know. They do a spell to see what happened that day, impressions of the trauma, and notice a student that Prue had the same slits on her arms that Aldar Kose did when he was incubating the seeds of the Old Ones. This cannot be good for anyone.
Paige remains in denial over Prue’s actions, but Piper tries to convince her to see the truth. Their sister is no more, instead changed to something darker and more destructive. Phoebe sees that, too. She gets a bloody vision of Prue at Cupid’s Temple and knows that she must stop her. The tribunal has the same thoughts, though their way of uncovering a plan is to utilize Tyler’s memories. They are going through his magic backwards in order to figure out what happened when Prue and Heremus joined. Though it’s hurting him a lot, they must gain the knowledge. Too bad Prue’s stronger than all of them.
Prue manages to tear a hold between realities so she can get into the room. After killing them all, she banishes Tyler to wait for her elsewhere. Then Prue gets into the cell, banishing Ben and Kyra before strangling Coop, all the while mirroring Phoebe’s vision. It looks dire for all involved, even when Phoebe shows up and threatening vanquishment if that’s what it takes to stop Prue in the end. It is coming down to sister versus sister in a war that threatens to destroy the world, or at least a family.
