The Flash is a great television show and has many cool characters. Barry Allen was featured on this column a few months back. Now it’s time to feature another interesting character from the show. It took me a while to warm up to this guy, but he seriously has grown on me. I enjoy his snark and attitude. I love him in The Flash and look forward to his upcoming stint on a new show. So enjoy this week’s crushworthy character.

Who is He?

Leonard Snart, a.k.a. Captain Cold, is an antagonist and possible future hero played by Wentworth Miller on the CW’s The Flash. The character Captain Cold first appeared in D.C. Comics in 1957. Captain Cold on the CW show is a charismatic villain who always has some of the best digs for Barry and his crew. Captain Cold has only one weakness, but the rest of him is pure villainy. Although that may change when he becomes a main character on the upcoming Legends of Tomorrow.

Fun Fact

Leonard doesn’t appreciate Cisco’s full nickname for him so he only refers to himself as “Cold”.

Why So Crushworthy?

I simply have a weakness for bad guys on television shows, when they are portrayed correctly. Captain Cold is a bad guy I can’t hate. His completely chill attitude and calculating mind are just amazing. I enjoy his endless sarcastic remarks as well. They are usually well-timed and relevant. Nothing really rattles Captain Cold, either. He keeps up his level attitude during any fight or crisis. You don’t know what’s going on behind those goggles of his. I don’t really like villains who rant and rave. I think the best ones are those who handle things with ease and cunning. It’s part of Captain Cold’s charm.

Another part of Captain Cold’s charm is his voice. I know it’s Wentworth’s Miller’s voice. It doesn’t really matter. The man could read a pamphlet for medical side effects and it will still sound good. Another great thing about Captain Cold is you know that he has anti-hero status. I can’t wait to see how he evolves in Legends of Tomorrow. I think he will still keep his cool, but also start to have more of a heart. Viewers know he has one based on how he treats his sister. Captain Cold isn’t all ice and that makes him crushworthy.
