In this episode of the Fandomania: Geek Music podcast, I talk to Jared from the band The Gekkos. When he first contacted me, I knew the band name sounded familiar. Turns out they were at the final Nerdapalooza in 2013. I’m pretty sure that I caught part of their set, and I’ve since watched the whole thing on YouTube (unfortunately, the video quality is terrible, but the sound is fine). I like their new album, Tragical History Tour, and I plan to review it sometime soon.
In the interview, we talk about DashCon and other tragedies, Weird Al, The Rutles (which I somehow have never seen), MST3K, and loving whoever you want to love.
