Valentine’s Day is upon with all its love, lust, and loathing. It is also time to pay homage to fictional characters who have the day of love in their name. They are from all types of fandom and some of the characters are fan favorites. So take a look at the list and pick a Valentine to be your sweetheart!
1. Jill Valentine (Resident Evil series)
Jill is a tough heroine who has beaten down hordes of zombies. Her sense of style is killer and so is her sense of humor. She knows her way out of perilous situations. We haven’t seen Jill since she was freed from Wesker’s clutches, but she still remains a fan favorite of the Resident Evil series.
2. Valentine Morgenstern (The Mortal Instruments)
Valentine is a jerk but he has charisma enough to have a band of followers. He terrorizes the Shadowhunters in his quest to change the world to meet his vision. He’s mentioned with tones of terror and awe before he appears in the novel. If you like bad guys, Valentine is a good choice.
3. Vincent Valentine (Final Fantasy VII)
The quiet but popular character from FFVII is the subject of much fanart, fanfiction, and adoration. His eternal devotion to Lucrezia shows he has a heart of gold. He may not say much but he will pine for you. Vincent is exceedingly handsome, too.
4. Faye Valentine (Cowboy Bebop)
The sultry bounty hunter captured our hearts in one of the best known animes out there. She flirts but she actually has a heart of gold. She takes care of the Bebop crew despite trying to turn in Spike at first. Faye is still a favorite anime crush.
5. Ivy Valentine (Soul Calibur)
Ivy is a popular Soul Calibur character for many reasons — some of them involving her infamous outfit. Various gaming websites have named her one of the most beautiful video game characters. Other than her looks, Ivy is a strong and butt-kicking female character.
