I actually enjoyed Wolverine quite a bit as well, even though there were huge gigantic stupidity holes in the writing (amnesia bullets? yea, ok). You should definitely give Watchmen a second watch in a better environment. I’m curious too – had you read/where you fan of the comics before seeing the film? It’s not perfect, for sure, and a much different kind of comic book film than Wolverine – but it’s fairly faithful considering what it could have been.

Good show, I skipped the TV section because while I’m a “fan” of all of those shows the only one I’m caught up on is Lost!

James: Thanks for listening! I’m a longtime and huge Marvel fan, and I also had read Watchmen a couple of times prior to seeing the movie. So I definitely went into both Wolverine and Watchmen knowing the stories from which they were adapted. Watchmen was a pretty faithful adaptation, but my basic problem with it was that I just don’t think it’s something that needed to be adapted into anything other than a comic. We had a 4-way discussion about the Watchmen movie just after getting back from seeing it, and it’s included in episode 32:
