Last year the Aliens: Colonial Marines hype train derailed and took a header off a cliff when the long anticipated game from Gearbox and Sega turned out to be a weird and buggy mess. Jump ahead to January 2014, and we just might have a reason to be excited again. Today Sega confirmed that Creative Assembly is developing Alien: Isolation, a new game that will launch on both generations of Xbox and PlayStation as well as on PC later this year. This isn’t a first person shoot em up like Colonial Marines, though. Rather, Isolation puts players into the role of Ellen Ripley’s daughter Amanda, who somehow ends up in the midst of a bunch of carnage and with an Alien hot on her trail. Here’s the official blurb:
