Will Wright’s non-Sims megagame Spore has been on the market for just a scant couple of months, and it’s already following the path laid by its Sims ancestors. EA has announced that not one but two expansions are in the pipeline for Spore. The first, the Creepy and Cute Parts Pack, will be an add-on that expands the number of pieces you have available for piecing together your little monstrosities. All told, around 100 new parts will be making their way into the game when the expansion hits store shelves on November 18 for $19.95.
The second expansion was just announced today and won’t be showing up until early 2009. Promising to expand the Space phase of the game, this second add-on pack will allow players to beam down from their spaceships to explore strange new planets on foot (or hand or whatever you have them walking on). Additionally, new space missions will be added, along with a likely robust mission editor.
