Wuthering Heights arrived on Digital March 31 and is followed this week by 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on May 5. Written, directed, and produced by Emerald Fennell, the film stars Margot Robbie as Cathy and Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff, alongside Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, Martin Clunes, and Ewan Mitchell. The film has earned more than $230 million worldwide and marks Fennell’s take on one of the most enduring stories in literature.
Based on the novel by Emily Brontë, this interpretation follows the relationship between Cathy and Heathcliff as it evolves from youthful passion into something darker and more consuming. Their bond shapes the lives of everyone around them, unfolding across a story defined by love, obsession, and the emotional weight of past choices.
This release includes a selection of bonus features that explore the film’s creative approach. Threads of Desire looks at the costume design by Jacqueline Durran and how it reflects the characters’ shifting identities. The Legacy of Love and Madness features Fennell discussing her connection to the material and her interpretation of its themes. Building a Fever Dream offers a behind-the-scenes look at how the film’s visual and tonal style was created, and the disc also includes a full commentary track from Fennell.
