Supergirl Flies Onto 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital

Supergirl is now available on Digital, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD. Directed by Craig Gillespie from a screenplay by Ana Nogueira, the DC Studios film stars Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El and Supergirl, alongside Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, David Corenswet, and Jason Momoa.

The film follows Kara Zor-El, cousin of Superman, as an interplanetary nomad whose approach to heroism is considerably more reckless than that of her famous relative. When a ruthless enemy strikes close to home, Kara reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion and sets out on an interstellar journey. Her pursuit forces her to confront the line between vengeance and justice while also fighting to save Krypto, her best friend and remaining connection to Krypton.

Inspired in part by the comic series Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow by Tom King and Bilquis Evely, the film expands the cosmic side of the new DC film universe as Kara travels between worlds in pursuit of Krem of the Yellow Hills. Jason Momoa also makes his debut as Lobo, bringing the intergalactic bounty hunter to live action.

The Digital, 4K, and Blu-ray releases include more than 90 minutes of bonus material. The Making of Supergirl follows Alcock through the production of her first leading feature-film role, while Flying Off the Page examines the process of adapting elements of Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow for the screen. Space is a Bad Neighborhood, Babe explores the different worlds created for Kara’s journey, and A Practical Legacy looks at the creatures and aliens developed for the film.

Additional features include Showdown at Evely Square, which goes behind the scenes of a major action sequence, and The DC Dream: Lobo, focusing on Momoa’s transformation into the character. Mixtape for a Hero explores the film’s music, while You Are Here: A Supergirl Map of the Galaxy offers a closer look at its various planets. Girl’s Best Friend focuses on Kara’s relationship with Krypto, and the release also includes the animated short Krypto Saves the Day: Coastal Catastrophe and a collection of deleted scenes.

Supergirl is available now on Digital, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD.
