There are breakout hits, and then there’s Stranger Things. The Netflix original series seemed to come out of nowhere this past July to become the summer’s defining pop culture touchstone, so it’s no surprise it was well-represented at Dragon Con 2016. In addition to the many cosplayers walking around the convention all weekend long, there was a fan photoshoot and meetup right before a popular panel about the show, and we were there. Yours truly dressed as Eleven (the one with the button), and Fandomania’s Managing Editor Jason Dorough captured the action. For a show that most had never even heard of two months ago, there was an impressive turnout at the meetup with plenty of creative, intricate, and sometimes humorous costumes. We all had lots of fun, so thanks to Netflix, The Duffer Brothers, and the cast and crew for giving us something to get so excited about!
