In the final part of Sharing for the Holidays, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite things, be they movies, comics, or video games.
The Thin Man Series
I’ve talked about this series before, but I need to mention it again. All six movies are great. They bring humor, mystery, and great chemistry between William Powell and Myrna Loy.
Sleeping Beauty
Disney’s Sleeping Beauty is one of my most favorite things ever. I’ve loved it since I was a kid and could quote the whole movie. The songs are unforgettable and the art style is so unique. Plus, it spawned Maleficent, one of the best Disney villains ever.
Green Lantern
I recently got into this comic series, and I’m glad I did. I love everything about it, from the lore (ever changing as it is), to the characters, to the color spectrum. I think everything about it is good (yes, even the movie). I am determined to own anything Green Lantern related and not regret a minute of it.
CityVille
I know, a Facebook game, but I think this is a really good one. There isn’t as much management over things as Farmville — yes, there are goods to check on, but it’s not nearly as intensive as other Zynga games. You just build houses, build stores, and grow your city.
Blue Beetle
Another new comic series I recently got into. I really like the character and how he gets his powers. I think the art is really amazing and the story has mystery written all over it. I can’t wait to see where it goes.
Fallout: New Vegas
I’ve talked about his before too, but I need to mention it once again. It was my first foray into Bethesda/Obsidian games and it got me out of my RPG only mode. Sure it’s glitchy and buggy, but the story is fantastic and the settings are mesmerizing.
There we have it, the final part of Sharing for the Holidays. I enjoyed sharing with everyone, so I might have to make this an annual column!
