Harmonix’s much anticipated third installment in the Rock Band franchise is releasing on October 26 with brand new peripherals, including a keyboard and a “pro” version guitar. As with any music game, however, the songs you can play with those peripherals are the real stars of the show. The song list for Rock Band 3 has been revealed bit by bit at demos, trade shows, and conventions throughout this year, but now the full 83 track list has been unveiled. Conspicuously missing from a game with highly publicized piano integration are any songs from the likes of Billy Joel or Ben Folds. The one included song by Elton John is “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting,” arguably one of his most piano-light hits. Rock Band 3 does bring a few songs with significant keyboard parts, however, including “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen and John Lennon’s “Imagine.” Even without a lot of piano-heavy songs, the track list looks awesome.
