Evil Dead Burn is now available on Digital, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD. The latest chapter in the long-running Evil Dead franchise is directed by Sébastien Vaniček, who co-wrote the film with Florent Bernard. Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert return as producers, with Bruce Campbell and Evil Dead Rise filmmaker Lee Cronin among the executive producers. The cast includes Souheila Yacoub, Tandi Wright, Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, Erroll Shand, and Maude Davey.
The story follows a woman dealing with the loss of her husband who seeks comfort with her in-laws at their secluded family home. The gathering takes a horrifying turn as members of the family are transformed one by one into Deadites, leaving her trapped in an increasingly bloody fight for survival. As the demonic threat spreads through the house, the bonds connecting the family take on a much darker meaning.
Evil Dead Burn introduces a new group of characters and a new setting while continuing the franchise’s tradition of combining demonic possession with graphic practical horror. Vaniček, who previously directed Infested, brings his own approach to the series, with the filmmakers putting particular emphasis on physical effects, stunts, and an elaborate extended shot used for one of the film’s major sequences.
The Digital, 4K, and Blu-ray releases include three behind-the-scenes features. Evil Dead: Blazing the Trail explores how Vaniček and his crew approached the franchise’s history while developing their own take on Evil Dead. The Hot Shot: Evil Dead Burn’s One-Shot Sequence breaks down the planning and coordination behind the film’s complex one-shot sequence.
This One’s Gonna Burn focuses on the movie’s fire-filled horror, with the stunt and effects teams explaining how they created its physical mayhem and on-screen carnage.
Evil Dead Burn is available now on Digital, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD.
