Crushworthy Characters: Valentine’s Day 2014 Edition

This week is a Valentine’s Day special. I decided to do a list of the best crushworthy characters who would make a great “Valentine”. I am using characters I have written about previously. You can call it a round up. This gal also needs to time reorganize her crushworthy list for next week, so I carefully thought about which characters would make the best date for your romantic evening. I probably chose the nicest guys and gals on the list. There is also a worst Valentine choice at the very bottom.

In no particular order…

1. Castiel (Supernatural)

Castiel is just a sweetheart. He may be a fallen angel but he I believe he would make a great date for you evening. He could spirit you away in the blink of an eye to any romantic location. He would bring you flowers unheard from the beginning of time. I think Castiel would make a great Valentine.

2. Magnus Bane (The Mortal Instruments)

Having a date with him would be magical. Magnus has proven himself to be a hopeless romantic. He falls passionately in love and will treat you wonderfully. He took his beloved Alec around the world. You can also count on Magnus for a good time.

3. Felicity Smoak (Arrow)

I think Felicity is beyond awesome. She is smart, loyal, and extremely cute. With all she does for the Arrow, she needs a nice date. She could probably hack some free tickets to a sold out opera or get reservations to the fanciest restaurants, too. This girl deserves a romantic interest that will treat her right.

4. Jamie Fraser (Outlander)

Granted, you would have to time travel back to 18th century Scotland for a date but it would be worth it. Jamie is probably the most romantic book character I have ever read. He would bring you flowers and take you out into the heather for a picnic. He would say wonderfully dreamy things to you in that glorious accent of his. Claire is one lucky lady.

5. Willow Rosenberg (Buffyverse)

I lauded the virtues of Willow before. She may be a witch, but she’s a good one. She has always showed love and loyalty to those she cared about. She is adorable and quirky. A date with Willow would not be boring.

The Worst Choice

I would have to choose Raylan Givens. I don’t think you could have a romantic Valentine’s dinner with him. The chance of him getting shot at or him shooting someone is just too high. You would probably get interrupted by Boyd Crowder and his thugs as well. It’s best not to try to date Raylan Givens. It’s better to listen to that dreamy voice from afar.
