So, I started watching Reign in December to fill in the space while many of my shows were on hiatus. I got addicted fairly quickly and my interest continued on into season two. The show has a cast of very interesting characters. Some are amazing, others are annoying, and some fall somewhere in between. After last Thursday’s premiere, it’s time to feature one of these characters from the show.

Who is He?

Lord Stéphane Narcisse is a nobleman making trouble for the royals on The CW’s Reign. He is played by the brilliant Craig Parker (Spartacus, Legend of the Seeker). Narcisse first appeared on the show seeking the truth about his son’s death. Since then, he has been causing trouble and trying to seduce Lola. He’s taken viewers on a rollercoaster with his actions. Therefore, is he crushworthy or cringeworthy?

For Crushworthy:

In a lot of ways, Narcisse really has it going on. I mean, a lady wrote a racy journal entry about his legendary prowess. Other than his romance skills, he has a ton of charisma. He waves his hand and things happen. He is a powerful lord and he knows how to use that power. People know who he is and what he is capable of. I have soft spot for characters like Narcisse. His relationship with Lola also puts him on the crushworthy side. I first thought he was playing her but I believe his feelings are real now. He likes women who are independent and not afraid to voice their opinions. The two have excellent chemistry and I am partially inclined to tell her to go for it. On the other hand…

For Cringeworthy:

Narcisse is ruthless and has no issue throwing lives away to get what he wants. He will even resort to blackmail to achieve his goals. He is a brilliant man but he usually uses his intelligence for evil. He is plotting something nine times out of ten. He’s been responsible for many of the negative consequences on the show. He is also a bit of jerk as he is constantly reminding people of his status. We get the point. As for the dark side of his love life, he hasn’t had the best luck with wives. And you also have to share his love of baths.
